All homes that are not served by a sewage collection system (\u00abtout \u00e0 l'\u00e9gout\u00bb) must be equipped with an independent system known as \u00abassainissement non collectif\u00bb.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

New facilities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For any new independent wastewater treatment plant, a file detailing the project must be compiled and submitted to V\u00e9olia for a compliance study.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once the work has been completed, and before the system is covered, it must be inspected to ensure that it has been carried out correctly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Existing facilities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Water Act requires all existing on-site installations to be inspected periodically; Coeur de France carries out these inspections every 8 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

C\u0153ur de France has entrusted this task to V\u00c9OLIA Eau, under a public service delegation contract. The inspection consists of an on-site check by an approved technician to ensure that the system is being properly maintained and is operating correctly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following this examination, work may be prescribed to owners, if necessary. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Practice<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Diagnostics are valid for 3 years from the date they are carried out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When selling a property, it is the seller's responsibility to produce a valid sanitation diagnosis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
