Drinking water

The catchment, treatment and distribution of drinking water is currently carried out by 6 water syndicates in the Coeur de France area:

• SIAEP de la Fontaine Saint-Clair, for the municipalities of Farges-Allichamps, Bruère-Allichamps, La Celle, Meillant and Arpheuilles.
• SIAEP de Charenton-du-Cher, for the municipalities of Coust, Saint-Pierre-les-Etieux and Charenton-du-Cher.
• SIAEP de Drevant, for the communes of Colombiers, Drevant, Bouzais and La Groutte.
• The SIVU of Saint-Amand-Montrond / Orval.
• SIAEP de la Vallée de Germigny, for the communes of Bessais-le-Fromental and Vernais.
• The SIAEP Marche / Boischaut for the communes of Nozières, Orcenais and Marçais.

These associations delegate their responsibilities to private companies (Veolia Water, SAUR).
