Sustainable development objective

Sustainable development is defined as «development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs». Brundtland Report, 1987. The concept is based on three pillars: environmental, social and economic.

In 2015, the members of the United Nations adopted 17 sustainable development goals to be achieved by 2030.

The objectives of sustainable development are represented in a transversal way through the actions and competences of the Coeur de France Community of Communes.
